Here are the best five tracks that have been rattling our speakers this week. Got something you think we need to hear? Get in touch. In the mean time enjoy these five tracks you need to hear this week:

Horsebeach – Disappear

The first single since the bands highly acclaimed debut album last year unveils a whole new layer to Horsebeach. Live drums for the first time give the track a real life while still keeping their signature wavy guitar sound. Reminiscent of The Chameleons “Disappear” adds real excitement to the bands forthcoming second album. Disappear is available for pre-order from Bandcamp.

Joanna Gruesome – Last Year

As if announcing their new EP wasn’t enough of a treat Britain’s finest thrashers unleashed “Last Year” on us. Taken from the up coming Peanut Butter EP (expect it May 11) Last Year packs the same solid punch we’ve come to expect from Joanna Gruesome plus a whole lot more. Noisy, Melodic and Furious.

Dance Savage – She (Can Stick Around)

Opening with the same Mancunian charm that made people fall in love with The Courteeners, “She” is a short but sweet Indie Folk tune. With the next Dance Savage EP on it’s way, it’s a mark of great things to come. https://soundcloud.com/dancesavage/dance-savage-she

Florence & The Machine – What Kind Of Man

Flo is back and with ‘How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful’ On the way we get a taster in the form of “What Kind of Man”. The track starts filled with haunting melancholy and seamlessly transforms into ferocious attitude. An enormously powerful comeback.

Father John Misty – Heart-Shaped Box

The Former Fleet Foxes man put out a cover of the seminal Nirvana track this week after playing it on US station Sirius XMU. A beautiful acoustic cover of a grunge classic. Father John Misty’s latest album “I Love You Honeybear” is released, fittingly, through SubPop and he hits the UK and Ireland later this month. https://soundcloud.com/sleazypseudonym/father-john-misty-heart-shaped-box-nirvana-cover
